The Forza Racing Championship is perhaps one of the biggest eSports racing competitions. Even though the competition is set in a virtual world, the grand prize is a physically real 2017 Ford Focus RS worth close to $40,000.

Anyone can sign up for the race, though be aware that the competition is extremely competitive. Only 128 competitors will advance beyond the preliminary qualifications. Of those, only 16 will advance to the next stage. From there, the competition will narrow down to the final four. The grand finals will take place on September 4, where a winner and new owner of a Ford Focus RS will be crowned. The finals event will be broadcasted live at the competition’s main headquarters in Cologne, Germany.

For most other participants, they won’t be leaving empty-handed. Smaller prizes include Xbox consoles, games, and accessories. For those who merely participate but don’t place, they will get consolation prizes in the form of downloadable in-game content.

The 2017 Ford Focus RS makes for a fitting grand prize. It will be released in early 2017 and has some noticeable styling variations from the current 2016 Ford Focus RS. This includes a larger air intake and bi-xenon headlights. The wheel arches have also been increased a bit to accommodate the 19-inch wheels.

In the interior, the dashboard has a blue highlighted inscription, which also appears on the pedals, inserts, and cover plates. Finally, the lower portion of the steering wheel has a flat appearance, thus mimicking the appearance of a race car interior.

You can visit Folsom Lake Ford to check out the current Ford Focus. You won’t be able to win one, but you can speak with one of our Ford dealers serving Sacramento, CA to enquire about buying one. We hope to see you soon!
