The 2016 LA Auto Show is currently underway, and things are already looking bright for the Ford brand. The Ford F-150 took home a few distinguished titles. It will also be a candidate at the North American International Auto Show, to be held in Detroit in January 2017. It will be competing with other pickup brands for the coveted 2017 North American Truck of the Year.
The Ford F-150 was named the Best Buy of the Year in the truck segment by Kelley Blue Book. In fact, the Ford F-150 won this award every year since the truck was outfitted with a new aluminum body back in 2015.
Finally, the 2016 Ford F-150 was named the Most Loved Vehicle of the Year by Strategic Vision. This is a research company that came up with the popular Consumer Love index. The index consists of consumer data compiled from over 120 vehicle categories.
The bigger cousin of the Ford F-150, the Ford Super Duty, also took home a few awards of its own. It received the winning title by Motor Trend for the Motor Trend Truck of the Year award. According to the auto magazine, candidates for its prestigious award are judged based on six categories ranging from performance to design.
Other models in the Ford F series, including the Ford F-150, Ford F-250, Ford F-350, and Ford F-450 have all won awards from Motor Trend in the past. The Ford Super Duty can now join the ranks of its cousins.
