Both the Ford Focus and Fiesta have an ST trim. Well, according to a leaked photo, the Ford Fusion may soon get an ST sports version of its own. The leaked photo showed an early prototype model of the rumored 2016 Ford Fusion ST. While no official description exists, car enthusiasts were able to draw a few conclusions on their own based on the released photos.

Here is what is known based on early snapshots: unlike the Ford Focus ST, the Fusion ST does not have a rear spoiler. It does, though, have beefier calipers and brake rotors, 19-inch wheels, and an intercooler in the lower grille opening. The biggest standout, at least for some, is the presence of quad-tip exhaust pipes.

This is all that’s known so far based on the photo of the prototype model. All else at this point is just speculation. Speaking of speculation, though, here’s some other points people are surmising about the Ford Fusion ST: It will be fitted with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6. Like the rest of the ST lineup, the Fusion ST will also likely have a sport-tuned suspension.

At this point, there’s no telling how the 2.7-liter twin-turbo will perform on the Fusion, though for comparison’s sake, the Focus ST is able to reach 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Likewise, the same engine on a Ford F-150 was able to reach that speed within 6.5 seconds.
