It has been revealed that the beloved 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will remain in production through the 2018 model year. The news also made for a great way to celebrate Easter, which was just a day before National Mustang Day.

What made the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 such a fan favorite? The engine was certainly a factor, which comprises of a crank 5.2-liter V8 engine. This engine is said to be the most powerful aspirated engine in automobile history since its inception in 2015.

There have also been rumors that a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is in the works. No official word has been released yet regarding arrival date. There is also no word on the engine that will be used, though many speculate that the engine will be able to churn out at least 700 hp. The current Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 produces 526 hp.

As for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, continuation into 2018 won’t produce any new changes except for the addition of three new colors: Lead Foot Grey, Orange Fury, and Kona Blue.
