The Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show is scheduled for November, and automakers are scrambling to put their best-customized models up for display. The Ford brand is no exception, and it has released teasers of several modified Ford F-150 trucks that will appear at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV.
There will be four 2017 Ford F-150 trucks on display. One of these is a EraThr3 Ford F-150 SuperCrew by Hulst Customs. This one especially stands out because it has a 5.0-liter V8 engine topped with a Whipple supercharger. It also has a customized exhaust tip and CGS performance exhaust. The end result is an engine with 750 horsepower. For comparison’s sake, the Ford Mustang modified with a Roush Stage 3 Kit, which was unveiled in 2015, had 670 horsepower.
The other three Ford F-150 pickups include a BMX-themed Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew, a gold-painted Ford F-150 Supercab, and an off-road Ford F-150 SuperCrew customized by Bojix Design.
Aside from the Ford F-150 trucks, the automaker will have roughly 50 other Ford vehicles on display, each car with its own modifications from some of the most renowned custom car companies.
There’s a lot going on for the Ford F-150. The pickup also made headlines recently for the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, which is revealed to have 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. This is made possible thanks in part to a 10-speed automatic transmission with an all-new transfer case and a six-mode Terrain Management System. There is also a 23 percent improvement in fuel economy.
