Many of the Ford vehicles here at Folsom Lake Ford appeal to a wide range of drivers, from busy families to energetic adventure seekers. But some vehicles are built with a more targeted purpose in mind. For commercial drivers, the 2018 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van is a trusted resource. And we’ve got some exciting news: the Ford brand has lifted the lid on the upcoming 2019 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van.

Tim Stoehr, Ford general fleet marketing manager, was excited to show off the new vehicle. “The original [Ford] Transit Connect’s compact size resonated with customers searching for a more maneuverable and efficient commercial van,” said Stoehr. “We’ve enhanced [Ford] Transit Connect’s available technology and powertrains to keep up with what our customers need. It is a critical tool with smart features to help improve productivity out in the field.”

The Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van first hit the road in 2009, with more than 300,000 vehicles sold in the ensuing years. Even more impressive? An astonishing 97% of these vehicles are still on the road. That’s because they were designed by Ford engineers to get the job done and stand the test of time. That same “Built Ford Tough” approach to durability and versatility is on full display in the 2019 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van. It boasts the only standard embedded 4G LTE modem in the segment, enabling it to provide Wi-Fi connectivity for up to 10 devices. With the addition of an available 6.5-inch floating touch screen running the Ford brand’s intuitive SYNC® 3 software, drivers can field calls and texts from customers hands-free with more ease than ever before.

The dual sliding side doors optimized for city-friendly maneuvering, the durable, vinyl-covered load floor, the near-vertical walls, and the integrated tie-downs ensure that this Ford vehicle is well-suited to handle a wide variety of difficult jobs. Under the hood, drivers can choose from three different engines, including the 1.5-liter EcoBlue® engine, the only diesel engine in the segment.
