2020 models are already on the horizon, and here at Folsom Lake Ford near Sacramento we’re excited to see what the Ford brand has in store. One new Ford model that we’re really looking forward to is the 2020 Ford Escape. This popular crossover is getting some serious upgrades, along with hybrid power, for the new model year.
The 2020 Ford Escape will be available in five trim levels, ranging from the S to the high-end Titanium. The base model will come with a variety of advanced safety features, like blind spot detection, automatic high-beams, and automatic emergency braking. You even get two USB charging ports and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Upgrading to the SE trim gets you Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and an eight-inch screen for your SYNC® 3 infotainment system.
The mid-tier SE Sport trim will come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. It’s the least expensive hybrid version of the 2020 Ford Escape. This trim level also adds several luxury features, like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The SEL trim drops the hybrid powertrain and gets a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. It also adds a reverse sensing system and a power liftgate, and you can choose to upgrade to a turbocharged engine that puts out 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It looks like there will be a 2020 Ford Escape model for everyone, whether they’re looking for performance, green power, or the latest tech. We can’t wait to see this model for ourselves when it arrives later this year.
