The SEMA aftermarket auto show takes place around November and is a platform for automakers to unveil new and sometimes wild concept cars. Ford automakers will be there, and they will be putting special emphasis on the 2018 Ford Focus, with four brand new concepts for this model.
The first is the Ford Focus ST with really pronounced fenders. This concept is enhanced with a 2.0-liter I4 engine and the Full Race Turbo kit. The engine is also tweaked using the Cobb Tuning Accessport. In terms of styling, the car has a purple paint job and massive fender flares and splitter. To top it off, the roof has a helipad of sorts for docking an aerial drone.
Next is the Ford Focus RS TriAthlete. This vehicle, as suggested in its name, is designed for performance. It has a 2.3-liter EcoBoost I4 engine. For superior performance, developers modified the dual-port blow-off valve and added a new wastegate actuator.
There is also the Ford Focus RS Street Performance. Clad in bright yellow paint, this model is adorned with a number of carbon fiber accessories. Other add-ons include aftermarket Baer brakes, a new set of BC Racing coilovers, and a new intercooler.
Last but not least is the Ford Focus Rally Revival. This car pays tribute to the brand’s racing heritage. It has beefier radiators, an upgraded intercooler and a short-throw shifter. The interior also has racing elements, including Sparco race seats and a custom four-point roll cage.
