The Ford Escape has historically been the company’s least expensive SUV. The model was introduced in 2000 and is now in its third generation. There has been much buzz lately centered on the Ford Escape 2017 model and production is slated to begin next year. Early images, however, have been released, and they depict a very different appearance than some of its predecessors.
For starters, the model will have a revamped front grille similar to the 2016 Ford Fusion and 2015 Ford Edge. On top of that, the new Escape will also come with new headlights fitted with LED daytime running lights. Images also reveal revised taillights and a modified tailgate design.
No word has been released yet regarding the 2017 Ford Escape model’s engine, though some speculate that the current 1.6-liter EcoBoost for the 2015 Ford Escape may be swapped out with the 1.5-liter EcoBoost of the 2016 Ford Fusion.
The 2017 Ford Escape is still two years away. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a compact crossover vehicle, then why not take a look at the 2015 Ford Escape? The current year’s model comes with SYNC voice technology that allows drivers to receive direction, change radio stations, or receive incoming calls without taking their hands off the wheel or taking their eyes off the road.
