Several spy shots have been released over the past months revealing a camouflaged 2019 Ford Focus. The latest shots show what appear to be the compact sedan with production bodywork for the first time. The profile is also considerably different from the current 2017 Ford Focus. The prototype appears to have a sloped rear glass and thicker D-pillars.

The vehicle as a whole also appears to be slightly wider and lengthier. There also appears to be changes in the front and rear, which are more upright and blunt than the current model. All in all, the styling is not that different from the styling seen in early pics of the 2018 Ford Fiesta.

The following has also been confirmed regarding the interior: the AC vents have been repositioned and now sit below the radio. The vents are also positioned horizontally instead of vertically. Photos of the interior show a simple digital clock. That section, though, is expected to house a large touchscreen with the latest Sync 3.

Not much else is known beyond this point, though some of the speculations include the release of multiple trims ranging from the Ford Focus ST to the Ford Focus RS. Engine option is expected to include the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an upgraded 2.3-liter variant. The small sedan should also provide an eight-speed transmission as standard with an option for a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2019 model will mark the introduction of the car’s fourth-generation incarnation. The third-generation was introduced in 2011.
